Is it that easy?

I met a friend yesterday. She is my childhood friend. We were meeting after long. She was very excited to see me. I immediately felt that she had something to tell me. Her face was glowing and she was seeming very happy. I was wondering what had happened to her and was very curious. She said she wanted to tell me about something exciting that has happened in her life from the past 7 days! I said okay and we rushed to her room. Before I even said something, she said, "I am in love" and my eyes widened and I was getting really curious and she continued, "with a man who is 38 (13 years older to us) and is a divorcee". I was confused and I said, "okay...So what next?" and she says, "it was a 7 days affair and I am over it now, but he still has hopes about me and I still love him". I am again confused. I asked her one question "why?" She said, "Out of desperation, I wanted to explore myself and convince myself that even I can fall in love and even I can have someone in my life, and somebody can actually fall for me". I was shocked!

Is it that easy? - is what I asked myself first.

Both of them, the man and my friend are well aware of each other's feelings.
I asked her, "So you are his first friend after his divorce?". She says, "No, he is actually my best friend's ex-boyfriend, she left to the U.S and now he is my boyfriend, I've known him from the last 9 months". Now my head starting aching, and I asked her for re-explanation and this is the truth!
I asked her, "so you think what you are doing is right?"
She says, "No, my best friend and him had an understanding that they will not continue after she leaves to the U.S So that affair is over 7 days ago, when she left and he is interested in me and he is a GEM of a person". I said to myself, "phew!!!! gem of a person, well ya right, again is it that easy???!!!"

She asked me, "what do I do?".
I said a straight "NO".
She said, "well ya, that's true, it cannot work out, but he is a gem"

We had to say bye to each other by then.

I came with a big GEM hangover and the question still ringing in my ears, "Is it that easy?"

It's amazing with the way she still carries the programme with the same charm! Following the success of this programme, I guess Sun TV came up with Sun Music with 24 hours nonstop callers for song requests with XYZ vj's...Ungal Choice wins among all I guess!
